Hi guys,
After reading many other peoples painting and modelling blogs, I've decided to start my own.
At the moment I collect Orks, Blood Angels, and Dark Eldar, and I will post all my progress with them on this blog.
I might even include some of my lord of the rings mini's too!
Hopefully this blog will provide some inspiration, to keep me going with my painting.
I will post all updates on my WIP killa kan (which had its own thread) to this thread instead, and at the end of the year, I will make a count of all the models I have finished in '11.
For all my mini's, C & C's are most welcome, I'm always looking for ways to improve my painting!

I'll try to post pictures of my most recent projects soon... I am renowned for leaving long periods of time between posts, so it's up to you guys to make me motivated enough to keep posting pictures!

Hi Dakka Dakka!
Either today or tomorrow I will be playing my first game with my blood angels army. I will post the results as soon as I can.
My list will basically be:

HQ: Sanguinor & Termie Captain with Thunder hammer and Lightning Claw

Elites: 5 Termies, Chaplain with Jump Pack

Troops: 5 Tactical Marines, 6 Assault Marines

Heavy Support: Stormraven with Hurricane Bolter Sponsons.

Out of all these, the only things I had before Christmas were the Sanguinor, And all Terminator armoured models. Go Presents!

Hooray! The Blood Angels are victorious!
My opponent wanted to play a larger battle, so I borrowed 15 more tactical marines, (for a total of 20 marines) and a land raider.
This meant I could deep strike my entire army!
My enemies army was tyranids, and because I deep striked everything, I was able to pick off one section of his force before the other section arrived to help, and so on. I wiped them off the table by the end of turn 5.
I learnt a good few things in that battle. like not disembaking troops immediately just so that they can all fire. One of my tactical squads was decimated because they disembarked from the stormraven immediately after they arrived on the battlefield.
Anyway, I won't be posting anything for about a week, as I am going on a school holidays camp.

Hi Dakka, sorry for the long time between posts, but I have pictures!

Something rather exciting for me is that I got my first commision!
Someone said that if I was to paint up a Dreadfleet set and put it on ebay, they would be willing to buy it. I will post on here when the auction is up.
The painting is still in the early stages, as I have only completely finished a few bases.
In addition to what is on here, I have basecoated several other ships and most of the terrain, but I didn't think that merited showing.

In other news, there is progress on Ghazghkull, and I have finished the grotz for my stompa.

Yes I got It. Our warbosses are surly related!

Great painting on all of the models, the glow on the killa kan arm is especially good!

Hi guys! I have finally finished Ghazghkull, and am very pleased with how he turned out.
I incorporated some more advanced techniques on some of the details, like the lens on his bionic eye.
All in all, an excellent commander for my orks!

Sorry for the massive gap between posts. As a part of my Christian faith, I participated in lent, the time before easter when many people fast. Because of the ridiculous amount of time I spend on it, I fasted from White dwarf and online Warhammer related stuff. I have managed to get a bit of painting done however, and I will post pics in about a week, as I am currently in Sydney, and don't have my models here with me.

As a gift, and to make up for the long...long...long space between posts, I have lots of pictures!!!
They are all shots of my Blood Angels, as I have been painting them frantically recently, (compared to my normal rate) and I wanted to share with all the dakkanauts.

First up are my Terminators. These are the first models I have painted up whose armour is that of regular blood angels. I painted on the blood drops on the shoulderpads freehand, pretty simple really.
With my other models, I will attempt to paint the proper chapter symbol, but I just went for this simple design for these guys (even though it's the 5th company badge)

After that is my Chaplain. I had lots of fun painting the OSL up his arm and on his Crozius, and the scroll worked well with only a few layers of paint. He will accompany my Assault marines until I get some death company.

Then we have the aforementioned Assault squad. These are still a WIP, I have only basecoated and washed their armour, got them second hand. The bases are resin sculpted, I got them for really cheap from Realm of Legends.

After that, we have an undercoated tactical squad, a yet to be Blood Angel-ifyed Smurf Land Raider, and my Terminator Captain (am going to change lightning claw for Storm Shield, might use another Sanguinary Guard wing?).

Finally, we have a group shot of the completed members of the army.
