Hey Dakkanauts!
First of all I'd like to point out that I'm sorry if i've deeply offended anyone by posting these pictures in this Painting and Modeling sub-forum, I didn't think they should go in:
- ... Showcase, because they're not models.
- ... Blogs because they're already done.
- ... or tutorials because i'm not really a guru.

So anyway, today i invested a fairly large amount of time making these new travel-cases for my models. The most time-consuming aspect was definitely cutting out the little barriers for my Wave Serpent and Fire Prism to fit into the box, as you'll see below. I'm warning any of you who are unlucky enough to be as determined as I was, this is a fairly cheap process, but takes ages ... (time is money ... so maybe it wasn't cheap? )

I just bought the "storage boxes" from Kmart and the spongy foam is from *Clark Rubber.

*I'm not sure if "Clark Rubber" exists outside of Australia, but its basically just a store which sells polymers in any amount or shape you can possibly think of.

Voila! I put name's and codes on each section to remember which models fit best where. If you compare the two boxes, you'll notice the left has had plastic barriers cut out to make room for tanks.

Models in their compartments. Guardians and DA, I don't care much about so they haven't got any foam dividing them.

To stop my Wave Serpent from shaking around, these prism-shaped foam blocks wedge into place perfectly.

Looking good. Had a similar Idea myself the other day just for hauling figures about - vehicles in a differen set up.

Great idea! I currently carry most of my troops in those plastic cases since the compartments are just big enough. Plus they're so compact it makes them easy to carry. I hadn't seen any big enough to put vehicles in so I'll start searching.
