So after a very look hiatus I'm back working on my homebrew chapter, i've changed the name and added a tiny bit of Chaos to the mix.

This is my rendition of a loyalist berzerker. I used the legs from the regular marine set and everything else is from the berzerker set. I used spare bitz to cover up the more chaosy icons and I think it turned out pretty well. I'm currently working on a 2nd and have added another marine squad as well as three terminators pics to follow soon.

That's some great work there, I really like the apothecary!

So here's a quick update.

So here's the progress on the color bearer. I need some ideas on what to put on the banner, their going to be a BA successor. Their homeworld is a desert with dragons sort of like the salamanders drakes but these have wings and fly.

Here's a pic of the company captain.

Here's her progress on the next ork, still bright and fruity.

So here's our progress so far.

A couple of boyz, and that last one is wearing lipstick.

The color bearer is pretty much done, but I'm not sure what to paint on the standard.

And a I have the land speeder storm coming in the mail next week so maybe that'll spice this thing up and make it a little more interesting and hopefully get a few more views/posts.

And lastly here's my 1st completely done squad.
Squad Titan

Once again thanks for looking.

I think your like me , when I first started it was fun , but maybe water your paints down a little , I did and the finish was a lot smoother , try a 3/4 paint mix.

I do like the colours on the marines.

Stuff is looking great but a few tips to help:

~ first off the orks base color is a metallic. So I would but a HEAVY wash on the metallic parts, and even some tracks green on the ork skin. And I don't mean a dry brush but alot. Washes are like liquid talent. Same goes for marines. Do a badab black on all modes. Everywhere. Even on white, but don't go as heavy as on orks.

~ second, orks have red, blue green, bronze, and idk what else. Orks should have at least some sort of unity between models. On trukks and such, the big metal plates can be askew color wise, but other then that, keep colors to minimal.

These are tips. Will only improve your already nice looking models. I love the idea of orange marines, the color is really cool on them and the fluff for the orks sounds funny. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips guys, the orks are my girlfriends project and one of the conditions of her actually getting into hobby was she could paint the models any way she wanted. Her plan seems to have the most unorganized, weirdest colored army she can and the only thing they have in common is the copper weapons and armor. But she is improving, the models seem a lot cleaner.

The marines are mine and I use babad black on all of them, I like the dirty/burnt look.
