I tried to use the holidays to start painting my Necrons. I was pretty sure for the colour scheme of my miniatures as all my old necrons have the same style. I never painted my Monolith though, so this is my first try ever to paint a tank for 40K at all. I decided to use Shadow grey and used some ideas I saw in the gallery. What do you guys think. Does anyone have any hints for making it better.

Excellent paint skills buddy.

Not sure about hazard stripes on xenon tech though. Hazard lines a human idea.

You're probably right about the hazard stripes, but I had no better idea how xenos species would paint there tank instead.

I'm looking for a possibility to change the colour of the green rods or the crystal to blue without loosing it's transparency. How can I do that? Anyone here who did that already?

Camoflaged Monolith, one moment you're casually walking through the hive world, avoiding the odd pyramid building that blends in so well due to striping, the next BAM its a whole lot of xenos mess.

First off, those are some sick painting skills you have got there. It seems as though with the warning stripes the monolith could blend in quite well. Stealth force?

As far as changing the color of the rods and maintaining their transparency, maybe a wash or ink of some kind. Or you could buy some colored 1/8(?)" acrylic rod (I think that's what it is).

I really like the scheme you have going right now, I think it could work well for your army. Awesome work!
