Hi everyone, just got back into the hobby in late 2011 with a bunch of mates to return to the glory of warhammer. Just as I had thought I had grown out of my nerdy side my CSM battleforce arrived and the nostalgia took over. Now i have plans for what seems to be a billion different projects, I now know why people call this stuff "plastic crack".
Anyways I’m getting off topic, with the battleforce all assembled I decided to expand the army to the 1500pt mark.
I'll take a group shot of what I’ve done so far in the next week or so but for now here's a pic of my basic CSM squad.

Basically I copied the Red Corsairs scheme but changed red to blue & gold to silver. The end result isn't too shaby but the time it took me to complete the whole squad was ridiculous, not having painted miniatures for 5 years had taken it's toll.

I'll skip ahead to where I am at now - Obliterators!
This was my first legitimate attempt at a decent conversion, along with my 2nd shot at green stuff.
The inspiration came from a number of conversions I saw on the web, mainly a pair of Nurgle Obliterators I saw on someone's blog that had these awesome looking back mounted weapons systems. Check the link for them here: http://miniaturewargameconversions.blogspot.com/2011/03/finished-nurgle-obliterators.html

Hopefully i'll get these guys painted up within the next week so i can get to work on my Daemon Prince.

Constructive criticism much appreciated!

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Great work, Chris. I love the idea of shoulder-mounted cannons.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Update time!
So as I said before here's a few shots of what I have done so far...

Havocs... I rushed the paintjob on all of these guys to get them in for a game. Looking good so far, they just need some details & touch ups and they'll be finished.

Zerkers... Forgot to prime these guys before basecoating so the paintjob is my least favourite, but they turned okay... I guess

Obliterators! Tried to paint these guys assembly line style but just couldn't do it, the guy on the middle left is the closest to completion, the rest are about halfway done.

Just needs a few more details and he'll be done!

A sneak peek of what's to come...

Feedback / Critique / Criticism welcomed as always.

Alrighty-roo Dakka, update tiemz.
With Uni comming up at the end of February I'm in fear I'll be forced to pack the paint station away to get focused on studies, so I want to get as much done as possible on my chaos army to get it done, too long has it been sitting unpainted!
For a break from painting power armour I have begun work on my Daemon Prince. He will be my first ever true test on how good my layer blending with glazes is & will also be my first shot at a little bit of OSL on the cracking sword.

So, as you can see I've only done the basecoat for the skin. The mix i used was a 1:1:1 mix of VGEO Heavy Blue, VGEO Heavy Warm Grey, VGC Glacier Blue.
After planning out the basecoating for the rest of the model I got myself into a pickle into what colour I want to paint the wings, I originally intended to paint them a darkish purple but it's only just occured to me i don't own any purples & now i'm truely tempted to just do a dark blue blending into black at the top. What do you think? Suggestions much appreciated!

I plan on having him at a reasonably presentable manner by the end of next week, all the while working on the rest of this plastic little bastards!

So, before the 28th of Feb I've got all this to paint...
1 x Daemon Prince
1 x Kitbash Tzeentch Sorcerer
1 x Huron & his little buddy
1 x Rhino
10 x Plague Marines
10 x Daemonettes
5 x Thousand Sons
5 x Possessed (<-- Most likely to get neglected)

28 days to get 27 models done...
I'll be posting at the end of each week to show the progress.

That's a very nice blue colour for the daemon skin.
