Hey Dakkarians as the title describes this is my first time, don't feel the need to be gentle any criticism or advice will be appreciated.
That said hopefully the photos work properly. Its also my first foray into the 40k verse, I've been painting canvass for years but this is a whole different ball game so i'm still learning techniques and how to "order" the layers and colors.
The idea is a Khorne world eaters army, i'm trying to make the tanks look as worn, rusted and shot at as possible without going too over board.
As to the troops the berzerkers are in the process of being detailed, can't decide if they need more blood and guts or less not sure.
The rest is all pretty standard i think the quality ain't that flash but i'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to painting so hopefully the fine people here can surrender some of their secrets. Everything is very much un-finished and rough as guts as we aussies say, by the way IF the photos upload properly ( newb ignorance) the reds are allot darker in real life the camera made them look brighter. Should have some more pics up soon, finding the time to paint everything is proving tricky to say the least but hopefully won't be long. Thanks.

In case anyone was interested, thought it might be worth an edit to mention.
The 2 rocket strikes (black spots) on the Vindicator front and left side, are done by sticking a match to the area where the rocket would hit. With the head of the match at the deepest "point of impact" light it carefully with a lighter or something that doesn't burn up everything else around. Blow it out a second after it lights up and it should make a nice burnt melted sort of defect in the model. Clean the soot off and paint. Turns out ok probably don't want light to much of the model on fire though.

Being new to Chaos is a fun time. I was drawn to them by Khorne. As you progress you'll find that Nurgle has more staying power, but at lower points games Khorne is pretty solid. One suggestion is that you swap arms on those possessed for bolt pistols and run them as raptors with MoK. you can give two of them meltas and have a fast unit with tank popping clout and the abiltity to mop up what's inside. Still great work. Keep it up!

First of that battle damage on the vindicator is superb.
Right I'd do blood splatter with red ink. and either paint it on how you want. OR Get a old brush cut it down a little and then put the ink on then flick it at your model.
Try this on a peice of paper or a old model.
Thats what Id suggest but they might be better ways out there.
Theres no blood splatter but go check my christmas fists.

Thanks to all for the help i didn't expect any so soon, very encouraging. Iv'e used the flicking paint technique on canvass before thought it might get messy on the smaller stuff. Thanks for the unit building tips too, love the idea of having possessed that can do some damage. Like to mix in some nurgle stuff mainly because they look wicked, don't have anyone to game with but still want a strong army. peace
