Can SM fleets take Space Stations, Orbital Docks, Defense Stations etc?

And the Ramililes Star Fort? It says available for Imperial and Chaos Fleets... Does Imperial mean SM or does SM mean SM. I know it may seem silly buy arnt SM Imperial Marines?

Yeah, they can take planetary defences and the ramilies.

Just imagine the Marines defending a system with the defences available to the 'locals'.

Imperial Navy means Imperial ehm Navy

Space Marines are Space Marines.

Two different entities within battlefleet gothic.

After the heresy the Imperial Army was split in three different parts:

Imperial Guard
Imperial Navy
Space Marines

This to make sure no part gained upper hand etc. This to assure something like the heresy where complete armies swayed could not happen again.

You say they can take the Ramilies but it says only for Imperial Navy... Then you post saying Imperial Navy is different from SM... Which is it?

Did you mean they can take space stations and orbital defense etc...

Anyone can take the various "Defenses", however they are mostly meant for Imperial fleets, such as Imperial Navy and Space Marines. These are planetary defenses, so they could easily be used by Chaos forces as well as Ork forces. You should model your defenses appropriately. A Nurglized Space Station would be a neat project.

There are rules for Eldar defenses as well as rules for a Craftworld. Only the Necron forces would really not have such defenses, as their weapons and technology are not accurately represented by the rules for the Defenses.

The Ramillies-Class star Fort is suitable for any Imperial force, it makes a great "Fleet-Based Chapter" stronghold, for example.
