I am currently collecting brets, and i wondered if Questing or grail knights are worth getting, e.g. are they any good in games?

Questing Knights are usually too slow for what they do. Grail usually are heavy hitting but they're really expensive so dont expect them to work miracles, and they take up rare space for trebuchets

I happen to swear by a big bus of grails and one or two trebs. They hit like a ton of bricks and can kill most things on the charge (just dont go throwing them into slaves and such)

Trebs are cheap enough that you can take 2 and still have enough room for a nice big bus of Grails. Grail Knights are my favorite unit in Brets. They do take up rare slots, but they are almost a must-have. You can live without them though.

Sadly questing knights really have no use in the bret army

I second calls for large units of Grail Knights, they can really hit hard.

Yea, what everyone is saying is pretty much right. Questing Knights are not that great of a unit; but i also think that they are under rated. They do have a place in the army, but its a small unit of them used for guarding the flanks. The knights, as much as it looks like they should, do not have long term combat capabilities, they are going to die too quickly. However, they are a nice way to guard the flanks of your KOTR buses because flanking units should nto be strong enough to handle the QK. Grail knights on the other hand i think are an excellent choice. Magical attacks and ITP means VC and ethereal stuff really hates Grails. Also, they put out a lot of attacks at high strength in lance formation if you can hit home with all of them. in my 2400 point list i can fit 2 trebs and 8 grail knights in. (A character joins the grail unit to make it a full 9).

I always run a lance of Questing Knights in my Bretonnian Army. They usually take the place of the outer most flank, the idea is that they hit the flank of that unit combined with a frontal charge of KoTR or KE this usually breaks the unit (after a turn or two) and allows those two units to roll up the flank.
Another tactic that I favour is to use the Questing Knights as Monster Hunters and throw them at the biggest thing in the opponents army, units of Ogres are a good choice as the Knights (all of them) cannot be affected by stomp attacks as they are cavalry

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Sounds like I may be getting a unit of grail knights in the near future.
