does a Thundertusk/Stonehorn have to take a break test if defeated in HtH?

if failed can it be run down?

Yah it takes a break test using its riders LD and it can be run down

Only Unbreakable units do not take break tests when losing in combat.

Just curious; what makes you ask?

after the game opponent was stating that he was fearless yadayada and couldn't get run down let alone take a break test.

rather than argue I thought I'd double check it here.

Well I think he does have swiftstride

No Swiftstride, but the Stonehorn(Rider and Mount technically) is Frenzied.

Maybe your opponent was suggesting that he just plain won't lose combat, which isn't actually that big of a stretch.
Beyond that, if we gave the Unbreakable rule to every unit that the writers described as "utterly fearless, never taking one backward step in the face of their foe, no matter how horrifying or potent, until they or their enemy lie slain", or whatever, well, that'd probably cover every army's special and rare choices.
