Only Unbreakable units do not take break tests when losing in combat.
|
I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

after the game opponent was stating that he was fearless yadayada and couldn't get run down let alone take a break test.

Maybe your opponent was suggesting that he just plain won't lose combat, which isn't actually that big of a stretch.
Beyond that, if we gave the Unbreakable rule to every unit that the writers described as "utterly fearless, never taking one backward step in the face of their foe, no matter how horrifying or potent, until they or their enemy lie slain", or whatever, well, that'd probably cover every army's special and rare choices.
