Ok so I tried a High Elf blog which fell flat on its big face, purely because I didn't have much interest in them. 40k is where my interest lies.

This should hopefully go better.

So to start off some of my boxed projects.
Some have been started but ill get the pictures tomorrow.
If you want me to post some pictures of my current models then just say so.
Also I will be adding potential army lists once Iv fine tuned them. (I'm a sucker for just writing lists, I enjoy it )

Ok so I know looking at boxes isn't that nice.

So here are some of my current "Completed" models, I still need to do the bases on them(Some from scratch). Some of them do need some minor work.

Now after uploading these I can clearly see that some of them look kinda bad. However I'm happy with them as they are. I don't care about mold lines or the "tabs" left when cutting them off of the sprue.

Very small update, nothing picture worthy.

Built up some more Deathmarks and Immortals, so now I have 10 of each.

Got sand on the bases of my Lychguard, Immortals and Deathmarks, now onto some primer and hopefully some paint. XD

I like how clean your lines are and it looks like you are thinning your paints properly. If I could make a suggestion I would recommend a wash to shade them. They look flat and a wash would give them some nice depth.

Got an update for you guys:

The Lychguard finally have some paint on them, although its just the primer atm. The weather has been too cold to get it done.

Also my Destroyers have some colour on them aswell:


I know the pic doesn't show the colour off well but the mettalic effect is used throughout the red area. All spinal areas are also boltgun metal now.

Those look nice, need to lit in the back a bit more (lighting) but dont listen to me lol I have yet to get an effective light box

Yea I know. The odd thing is that my desk lamp was pretty much right above them and with the camera flash it should be alot brighter. Ill see if I can grab some better pics.

Take the pictures outside in the shadow or put white paper in front of your indoor lighting.

The colour itself consists of 3 parts and its pretty easy.

1. Basecoat with Mechrite Red
2. Use my metallic red which is 2 parts Red Gore to 1 part Boltgun Metal
3. Use Baal Red wash

I'm really happy with the results given that it is my first "custom colour".

I do also have a metallic purple made in the same fashion as the red.

Nice Nice, gonna do anything special with the flight bases? I would suggest checking my latest post with my anni barges flight base that I got done for any inspiration.

I haven't decided on what I plan on doing with the bases so far.

Small update: Got some new toys in the post today, a CSM Battleforce and a Chaos Defiler.

Already got 11 of the CSM squad partially built(Legs, Torso and a few arms to make certain wargear stand out) as I need them for my currently list.

Work on the defiler will have to wait for now.

Sweet I can not wait to see pictures, Ill have my warriors up tonight after I finish some blending on them

Well finally played a game using the list posted at the start.

Safe to say the Mighty(read Pitiful) Chaos Army got slaughtered by what seemed to be 5 Lychguard, 2 Lords and an Overlord.

Something tells me I need to rethink that list.

EDIT: Also for got to mention that 12 of my 36 Necron Warriors are nearly completed! All they need now is the weapons finished! Enjoy!

The chests areas were also going to be boltgun metal, however on the test model I used Mithril Silver by accident, it doesnt show well in the pic as he is a bit toward the back. You can roughly see the green on him which I will more than likely change to gold maybe. I feel the silver/gold combo will give it a little something. We shall see though.

Okay, I got my finished warriors up now if you want to check them out and see how I did the chests. my suggestion is to match the eyes with the Ankh

Not made much progress recently, too many video games haha.

I do also have 2 Monoliths, 2 Rhinos and a High Elf Army box to work on aswell. I will be kept busy.

All the unprimed/ unbased stuff is of low priority atm since I do want to get some stuff finished.
