Whites always hard to get right (so they say, I haven't tried white yet myself) and it looks like you've just gone for white on white? I think the best way is to start with grey, but anyway its not too bad.
I really like the what ever they are called, tabard paper things (I should really know what there called), they look pretty old the effect on them is really nice.

Not bad! It's modelled pretty nice. You should base it, I find it really makes the models look more complete. Just my 2 cents.

I like them although, it would look really good if you give them a badab black wash to pick out details

According to Showcase rules, models without complete bases have to be moved to the P&M forum, or Blogs.
The Showcase is for completely finished work.

I'm really impressed by your freehand brush control, you paint some amazingly clean lines. The red markings are amazingly crisp. Your color work needs some help though.
Firstly, if you thin your paints, they are going to look a lot better. It should take several coats to get good base coverage in a metallic. That is your golds number one problem. You can also try a final edge highlight of 50:50 mithril/gold.
As was mentioned, white is a tough color, it takes many layers and very subtle shading. An acrylic wash is NOT the solution here, washes don't work well on white, they hit it hard and are hard to
cover up. You need to choose a base color and paint up from there. Yours looks like you chose a base color of white and just stayed there, which never looks good. There are two popular options for white marines: warm (brown base), and neutral (grey base). Base in a light brown, highlight up through bleached bone and finally to white for warm. Leave the corners and grooves the darker color. Go from grey to white for a neutral base. White is very translucent and the base color comes out subtly. I'd post some examples as I use the same color scheme, but it doesn't seem appropriate for your showcase thread.
The red is very flat, but some gradient highlighting would really add depth. Just some really thin blood red towards the tips and edges of your freehand sections, and some edging on the shoulder trim.
Great job overall.

You could send me pic.
But i doupt i would do that on rank and file. but some character models that would add more time to painting(which i always love) and i can use that on a white horse im painting too.
Also i do use a mithril/gold highlight. i have a specfic pot of it made.
Also iis there a way to thing paint without wasting to much of it or adding water to the pot? Like maybe dipping the pant in water while its on the brush?
