So I'm jumping into Menoth, and I read some on here about the Vassal of Menoth. I had mostly been thinking about the Vassal Mechanik. So, the question is: one Menoth or two Mechaniks? Is this situational? should I try and squeeze one of each in (after the choir)?
Also, if the choir is so good, should I take two? can one choir affect more than one 'jack?
Thanks in advance.

Take the vassal of Menoth first. If you have a spare point then get the mechanic but the vassal is the main solo you want.
As for the choir. you'll only need one squad be that min(4 people) or max(6). when you get up to the massive 75/100pt battles then you might want a second unit, or for a specific theme list.
How the choir works. As a unit they all activate at the same time, all move and then all sing the same hymn. If they are in formation, within 3"(?) of a jack and can see it then each single choir member can affect a single jack. So with 4 choir you can protect/enhance 4 jacks at most.
You can have two choir units sing two separate hymns but that is rarely needed in my experience.

Ok, that makes sense. The Menoth book isn't very clear; I thought that because they were all singing the same hymn they all had the same target.
I will definitely look into getting the VoM then.
Thanks!

A jack can only be affected by one choir hymn at a time so even if you have a second choir the only thing that that allows you to do is select which hymn you want on a jack.

I've just taken another look at the choir rules and you can't use two choirs on the same jack. I thought you could.
"While affected by a hymn, a warjack cannot be affected by another hymn."
given that all three hymns last at least a turn my thought of giving jacks battle then shielding/passage fails.

You can have two choirs sing separate hymns, but they
have to sing on separate jacks. Sometimes this can be
useful if you take two minimum units and have a 'jack force
protecting the ones in front and buffing the ones in back to
shoot. Just an idea

Thanks all.
Malfred: thanks, I may give that a try as well, but I think I'm going to focus more on infantry heavy lists. We'll see once I get a few games under my belt, though.
On that note, any opinions on the Errant Seneschal?

Awesome.
Dies like a mutha, but you're getting the Errants to go along
with it, right?
