I probably want flamers and wizard herald of Tzeench.... but aside from that which is better?

Nurgle is now paying pts for abilities it can't use all that well. Sure Plaguebearers led by Heralds are still decent and all, but they've lost alot of their resiliance by not being able to make use of their regen + ward anymore. (and have no way to at least gain a better ward save vs burniness like every other regen'ing character!)

Khorne's big drawback is being one-dimensional and lacking magical punch. Basically it's all about running forwards and hitting stuff, as angrily as you can!

VC's on the other hand are shiny & new, and have been given a number of viable builds to toy about with - everything from super punchy to highly magical to anything inbetween!

lol?

I would say Khorne for effectiveness for, well, the exact reasons that are stated above. All Khorne truly lacks is magic, and you are going to add Tzeentch wizards and Flamers. Ta da. I WISH Nurgle was more effective, but I guess that's just what the change to Regen has done. Oh well...

The correct question is, would I be enjoying this hobby if I did this?

The correct audience is you.

Personally I like a mix. at 2250. I run a Blood thirster, 30 bloodletters with herald, 25 daemonettes with herald, 20 horrors with 2 heralds(Life is bsb, Light can leave unit and fly to get big aura spells where needed) and finally 2 fiends, for assassination, charge deniers.

3000
4000 Deamons - Mainly a fantasy army now.

Neither. Go 100% Slanneshi. Whats better then Sex and Drugs and Ronk n Roll? Answer. More sex and drugs and rock n roll.

Jokes aside. I think Khorne is better. Just add some Tnzeech for magic.

A mix ... that includes nothing from Nurgle Though the only green guys I see at this point are the GUO and nurglings, both of which do pretty beastly things that the rest of the factions don't really do better for a change. Also, they look awesome

I actually think it's a valid answer. Daemon armies are boring, mindmeltingly similar to each other and universally reviled. The new VC are hopefully none of these things (any longer )

I think the new vc army is entertaining with a few lists worth having that are all unique but some may get reviled til people get used to them. You know the old adage"it's new so it's scares me!"

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.
