First off, I already play Vampire counts but haven't got the new book yet.
I'm wondering: The points cost for a single Grave Guard?
Can Vanhel's Danse Macabre still give always strikes first?
Does the Helm which bestows weapon skill upon another unit still exist?

Thanks

I think some of this stuff you need to buy the book as it's considered copyright infrigement to post it here. Cuz then you don't need to buy the book. Especially point costs.

I'd agree. I have every intention of doing so, I just might get Grave Guard first and my plans revolve around them. I was wondering if they're worth their points value is all.

Theyre still good. Van hels is different. They made it so the deathstar is not as potent if that answers your question without goin to much into detail.

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

Blast... That was my plan. Under the old book, one could have a horde of them at WS 7 always strikes first using the helm and VDM...

The most you could ever do is get them to strike at initiative because the old Vanhels gave them ASF which cancelled out their ASL (unless you were talking about fielding them without Great Weapons) There is still a way to get the GG ASF (if they are sword and shield) It involves a corpse cart now.

I thought ASF overrode ASL, according to out High Elf player anyway.

It cancels it out. so they would strike at initiative. High Elves have a specific thing that gives them ASF regardless of weapon. So High Elves can have ASF great weapons. It is something speecial for being High Elves.
