So I've seen a few threads regarding conversions for Crypteks and ideas for differentiating the various harbinger disciplines and came up with, what I think, is a fairly easy way to accomodate all the different flavors.
So my crypteks are nothing special... most are using similar conversions / kit bashing.
What I used was the following:
Deathmark Head
Lychguard Legs
Lychguard Torsos -I cut the collar off (too flashy)
Lychguard Spine
Staff + Arms for Staves
Deathmark Gun Barrel - back of staff (tried to make them look somewhat similar to the older warscythe ends) - again, not original
Lychguard Armor Loin Cloths
Skaven Cloaks - for lil duster skirts
To differentiate the Cryptek's I figured I'd only swap out the staff tip. The tips are all magnetized with cylindrical magnets that have holes through the center. The various tips have paper clips pinned in them and fit right in (metal + magnet = win)! They're down in front of the entire court on the half corks.
I made the following weapons, from left to right:
Eldrich Lance = Deathmark Gun Chamber + Darklance tip
Tremor Stave = Annihilation Barge Pilot Harness + Warscythe Orb
Aeonstave = regular tip, just in case I needed something else or want to try triarch pretorians
Anything = Chaos Sorcerer Staff tip (can be whatever I need and don't have modeled)
Warscythe = Warscythe minus orb to make them look like the older versions. Figured I'd make these because it's easier to paint in batches... Probably won't be fielding many Lychguard with scythes but meh...
So with all those tips I can mix and match crypteks... I built 5 of each tip but only 5 crypteks
atm, I have 5 more in the pipeline made a little smaller to represent a lesser overlords court rather than a phaeron's.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments... enjoy!
