I'm not sure if it's been fully confirmed (even in FAQ) that is a unit that has ever-lasting can attempt to come back on on even if the squad is dead/fleeing/wiped out in assault, so forgive me if this question seems obvious.

I have a Royal Court of 3 lords and 2 Crypteks, they stay as one strong unit.
An enemy charges them, the squad is wiped. At the end I lose and only 1 lord and 1 cryptek come back from the dead.

Since they are still both alive, do they stay as the Royal Court or act like seperate units?

Its in the FAQ. If the unit was wiped out (NOT destroyed by SA) then any EL models can attempt to come back.

they stay as one unit, because they are still the Royal Court.

Wait. Sweeping Advantages kill even the everlasting models? My lords/crypteks wont be able to come back afterwards?

There's an active thread on that topic here:

Essentially yes, because Sweeping Advance requires that, in order to save / rescue the unit your special rule has to specify that it works against Sweeping Advance. EL in the codex or FAQ does not specify, so it doesnt work

There IS a dissenting opinion, but it has been thoroughly debunked at every turn for 18 pages now. Seriously, EVER turn. To the point that it is getting silly.

Before this goes any further, please leave all arguments/flames regarding EL and SA on the other thread. We do not need multiple threads with the same back and forth argument.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

As above. I was explaining why it doesnt work in this thread, pointing out the dissenting opinion has been debunked (it has) so you're not put off by the fact it is an 18(+) page thread

I realize that nos, you and Yad both mentioned the other "debate", however, I felt it a good idea to stop the madness now, before we get to 4 pages of the exact same argument. Hence the "Before this goes any further"

Indeed, all we need is another 20 page monster thread of the same 2 arguments being shot down over and over and over....to the mega thread!

We are almost there, nos, should i start spouting some insanity for you to debunk?
