Made up this list pretty quickly. It currently uses stuff I already have apart from the Noble, which I hope to buy soon along with another box of Spearmen(Im 8ish or so short).

Anyway, thoughts??

Why have decided to place a non combat archamage on a very combat orientated dragon? (re read Folariath's Robes rule again please) Besides the ilegal loadout for your archmages magic gear you are making him extremely easy to pick out and kill.

If you are dead set on including a dragon in your list do it properly and put a combat lord on the dragon.

As said dragons can get popped pretty easily and the absence of a combat character on top make it vulnreable to charges from even a semi-elite unit.

Also i know you have Korhil but swordmasters are probably the greatest unit in the entire book

Please explain how the magic gear on my Archmage is illegal?? As the robe is an Enchanted item and the wand is an Arcane item and both well within the 100 point magic item cap. Like I said this list uses what I currently have. I can easily buy another model for an on foot Archmage. I did consider a Prince to begin with but this left me quite lacking in Magic, hence the Archmage.

EDIT: Reread cloak rules, I see why it cant be taken.

Swordmasters are good, however this army is not a WAAC army. This army pretty much includes stuff which I like the look of, hence the dragon, White Lions and Korhil. Also sword masters are currently only available in metal, I'm not buying the IOB set just for them and I have also had some past issues with buying stuff from Ebay meaning I am a little hesitant about buying from there again.

Okay so a new list that cuts out the dragon, I feel magic is more useful.
The potion on the Dragon princes was just to use up points, yous will more than likely find a better use for the 20 points.

if you're playing 8th edition I worry about the size of this unit, you'd probably be better off with a few more guys to take some casualties and still have enough for combat the next turn. They only have 1 attack each.

-these guys are way too many. You only get one supporting attack from the guy riding the cavalry mount, so having tons of ranks doesn't really get you anything here except a giant footprint and a lot of points in one place. Either run 2 units of 6 or drop one and get another special choice, boost your WL, lots of options here.

I would say you need a lot more bodies if you can get them. Also, the great eagle is still one of the most point efficient and useful choices we have, I'd say a HE army needs at least 2 at this point level

I will admit my army list composing is never the best XD.

The 2 lists shown use mainly what iv currently got.

I do intend on buying more white lions hopefully soon. I just spent nearly £40 today haha.

This list is not final by any means. I still havnt played a proper game yet. I hope to within the next few days.

Sorry about bringing this thread back up, but how would I rank and file each unit??

At the moment I am thinking of the following:

Archers - 10 man wide
Spearmen and White Lions - 7 man wide
Dragon Princes - 5 man wide

I think these work but im unsure currently.
