I have decided to join this forum, finally.

I have been painting and gaming for about 11 years now. I had been building models for even longer, for about 17 years. My first gaming kit was a Space Marine attack bike and I painted it as an Ultramarine [go figure]. After that I got a Captain, some assault marines, and tactical marines. However, the model which always drew my eye when I walked into the GW store was the Leman Russ Battle tank. So, one day I bought a blister of 2 of the old school Cadians and the 3rd edition Imperial Guard codex. The urban Cadians inside the back cover sealed the deal. That year for my birthday I got a Leman Russ and a squad of Steel legion. Now, over the last 10 years or so I have slowly built up around 5000pts worth of Imperial Guard. I call my army the 14th Imperial Task Force and it is made up of mostly Cadians, but also the Steel Legion and DKOK. More recently, in about the last 2 years I started playing some specialist games as well. I started BFG with Imperial Fleet and Battlefleet Vengeance is about 2000pts strong now. I also have a Reiklander Mercenary Band for Mordheim. I have about 50pts worth of Khador for Warmachinem and I think I'm all set with models for now. I still have a bunch of guardsmen and tanks to paint, so once that is done I will buy some more.
I really only started playing these games about 4-5 years ago and I started going to some local tournaments last year. Next weekend I am playing in a team tourney, so I plan to have some fun doing that. I started a blog as well which you can find at http://clickityclak.blogspot.com/ if you are interested. It mostly painting and modelling oriented, since I don't take myself to be a good enough player yet to offer and insightful advice. Feel free to go over there and check out some of my models and works.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
