Quick question: If a Terminator is a Deathwatch Veteran, which shoulderpad does he replace with the Deathwatch one? The Crux Terminatus or the Chapter Symbol?

Isn't the deathwatch clad in power-armor? The veteran would add the deathwatch marking to his personal TDA after he returns?
The chapter badge and the crux are surely irreplacable I guess.

The pad appears to be intended for the left shoulder, which is how I assembled mine.

Then for the sake of argument, presume that the Deathwatch pad is a variant Crux, and still contains a Refractor Field Generator/fragment of the Emperor's armour/whatever it is that actually provides the 5++.

given that the power armor deathwatch keep their chapter marking, I would assume that the terminator deathwatch shoulder is a replacement/upgraded crux terminatus.
