A strange thought came to mind tonight.

If chaos is based on mortal thoughts/dreams/desires...

And necrons killed everything living, or the tyranids killed all the others and just have 1 mind now - both of these would essentially erase all the chaos gods' powers would it not?

So by that logic, would it be wrong to say that the chaos gods would eventually want to save the imperium when it shrank down far enough (i.e. numbers of mortals left alive would threaten the existance of the gods?)

Say by the year 80,000, would chaos joins forces with the remainder of the survivors of the IoM and fight to perserve life against either the necrons or tyranids or both?

*imagines skull taker trying to save some little girl by charging a tyranofex and or a nemessor*

+ Thought of the day + Not even in death does duty end.
