well when I started I was aiming for 1500 points in my nids army and when I was looking up my list I had over that! so what next?









not space marines, as I have bad mouthed them.

Next step would be to figure out what kind of army you want, another cc army like orks or maybe something longer range like guard. If your taking out all forms of space marines it becomes like a 1 in 6 choice.

Go by models and background first and foremost. Liking an army on that would make it easier to like them in game as you learn how to play them.

grey knights,blood angels, that one thats battleforce is called a raven wing and space wolves are an option. other then that no. space marines.

Ravenwing are part of the Dark Angels codex, so the only space marines codices you've eliminated as possibilities are vanilla marines and black templars (and possibly chaos space marines if you feel that they are included with "space marines".
How do you feel about the other imperial forces like IG and SoB?
Are there any Xenos armies that you definitely do not want to play?

why not go Orks?

i am always thinking about orks but i'm not sure hwo to go abotu them lol i like parts of them n i hate others so it would be a strange sort of orky thing going on for me, probably a small army 750pt? ard boyz sound fun n warboss sounds cool and koptas lol i guess i would build n army that phonetically sounded really fun and cool lol burnaz lol.

i guess you just have to find a theme that you like for a race my suggestion is cool sounding ork army low on meck strong troops and fast attack style. thats my suggestion simply because it's something i would consider for another army.

Then i might suggest Dark Eldar? or a small Necron fleet, like the new warbarge thingy with thaat huge open cannon that transports troops, HQ Troops and Barge n bang your done. Expand out to some heavys and more troops later make it specialized. Dark eldar are really powerful in small unit terms, ie. you don't need lotsnlots. also they have 2 sort of branches of army, more traditional dark eldar and the new beast master style. The thing with Dark Eldar will be that you can be rather more competative with physically smaller armies which sounds like something you want this time round instead of a massive army physically

BTW does anyone have a codex and could sort out a 1300 point or 1500 list for me
