Hello internet! Here is the bulk of my Nomad force, from the Infinity skirmish game. To be honest they still need a few details doing, (all the models come with pouches, mines, pistol, knife etc around the waist and I can't figure out the right colours to use there) and I can't get the pictures to look that great, but there aren't many pictures of infinity models on this site so I thought I'd show them off anyway.

Here's all 10 models. This is enough to play a large-standard game, I have 4 more models sitting primed.

Sin-eater observant, a pretty hardcore defensive trooper and religious fanatic.

This lady next to him is a Reverend Custodier, a sort of superhacker and religious fanatic

Here we have some of the line infantry. These models were originally bare-headed, I really like the smooth dome helmets a lot of Nomad troops wear, so I had a bash at modelling some on.

Two spektrs, elite infiltrators with thermo-optic camoflauge (like Predator - get to da choppa!)

Intruders, kind of older models and I don't love the poses, but supposed to be bad-ass in the game. I've only really played once so I'm not sure yet.

Zero, a more basic infiltrator

And finally his big brother, a Prowler. Awesome fighting infiltrator with a spitfire, a sort of light machine gun. This was the first model I bought/painted.

Any comments or criticisms welcome, thanks for looking.

Nice looking force! I love the Infinity models and game concept, just need more time to get into it...

The OSL looks good, I like your choice of blue. Only suggestion for that would be to lighten up the light source a little more so it provides more contrast between the light source and the reflections. See 2nd to last pic - I would lighten up the slit between his mask assuming that's the light source.

As far as taking pictures, judging from the shadows, it looks like you're only using one light source along with whatever ambient light you have in the room... this makes it hard to get consistent pictures (I had a lot of trouble with this too!). Try introducing another light and make sure you only take pictures towards the background - move the minis, not the camera. Oh, try supporting the camera for clearer images too, rest your hand on a few books or a tri-pod or something. Difusing the light source helps soften things up, too... Taping a piece of paper onto the light (making sure it doesn't burn!) so that it intercepts the light on it's way to the minis works too.

Light = O
Paper / Difuser = |
Background = [ ]
Minis = x

Camera Direction

Light should be slightly angled towards the background from the sides (in front of the minis) - Move the lights until you don't see shadows or crazy glare. I'm no photography pro but, since I just went through all this with my setup, I figured I'd share...

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Edited to add periods to the ascii art photo booth setup... dakka forum doesn't like simple "spaces"
