Here are a couple minis that I painted on commission a little while ago, and just never got around to posting here.

Overall, I really like the Sons of Malice color scheme- especially on vehicles. It is a very strong scheme that stands out nicely.

Anyway, here are the minis:

The Scorpion is amazing, one of the best models I've seen you share here in showcase.

Something about the Pred is off to me though, not sure but I'm not liking how the while and black is being broken up by the excess metal.

The scorpion is fantastic. The color scheme really works well on the model.

Scorpion is fantastic, really works well.

Im less convinced by the Pred though, I think its the grey panelling that is throwing it off badly.
It looks very patchwork. Perhaps you could divide it into 4 quarters and go for the B&W opposing contrast from there, dropping the metal bits?

I do think that the brass scorpion turned out a little better than the tank, but I'm not sure if that isn't in part due to the quality of the starting sculpt.

I mean, the brass scorpion is a terrifically well composed miniature, while the predator is just a predator.

The scorpian is pure win. Really like the colour scheme!

I like them both a lot. The pred does seem a bit off but I think it may just be the picture. Great color scheme though I am a huge fan of that scorpion.

Thanks. After hearing everyone's praise for the scorpion, I threw him up on Cool Mini. He's doing rather well (low eights) and quite a bit better than I expected of him.

I'll have to post the other scorpion soon...

I think the pred's main issue is that the two are side by side. Its a good clean paint job but looks like a Marine Pred and just doesn't stack against the Brass Scorption's monstrosity. How big is it? I would love to see it across the boards from a Warhound Titan or something.

Ask and you shall receive.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, but it was a cell phone shot of this Sons of Malice Brass Scorpion in action against a Praetorian Warhound titan and some Aurora Marines that odinsgrandson also painted up.

Thanks for that pic. It makes me several levels of happy to see this guy in action.

And the titan to boot.

Nice work. You're right, that is a very striking color scheme on the table. I think that it must be very difficult to do well on large vehicles.
