Ok, so I actually haven't used my marines since 4th edition as I've been busy with my DE and don't like the 5th ed codex as much as 4th. That being said, I have looked over/fought against a good number of space marines armies so this should hopefully be decent. Anyway, on to the list.

They main thing I guess I need to explain would be Cassius. I took him to go along with the terminators and vulcan in the land raider. I know that all my thunder hammers are already master crafted, so I figured I could do the following: Jump out of land raider, get two flame template attacks before charge, come next turn, split terminators of on way and make the two characters become a unit and go after something else. I picked Cassius specifically over a normal chaplain for his FNP, T6, and combi flamer. When he runs with just vulcan, anyone shooting at them will be rolling against his T6 due to him being "majority", the pair should also be able to survive a good bit of saves with vulcan's 2+/3++ and Cassius' 3+/4++ FNP. A lot of shots will of course bring them down, but that kinda works on everything.

Cassius has been dropped. ignore previous statement.

IMO, the preds don't really fit well together into a Vulkan army.
Also, the rhinos should be Lazbacks (Razorbacks with LC) You can drop the Preds, take a Dreadnought or 2 with MM/HF combo and smack them in front of some enemy armour and watch stuff melt.

This is a Salamanders biased opinion though.

True, the predators dont really fit well with Vulcan's benefits, but they were they one of the few consistently successful units in the Heavy Support section. Not much that in that section very few units benefit from vulcan and those that do is overpriced.

I also happen to already have 3 predators which makes my pocket happy.

If I were to take razorbacks, would I also have to reduce my squad size? because then I couldn't take special weapons except on the sarge. Or would I be able to keep full squad size in which case they wont fit in their armored box. I guess I could combat squad for objective games since KP doesn't matter but I'm not sure of an optimal plan for a KP mission.

Always an argument here. Without some long range threat Vulkan struggles slightly, preds are awesome at supplying it.

Rhinos rushing forward and smoking to protect the single raider. Whilst meltas and combimeltas come out of a rhino.
That is why I like the rhino in a Vulcanised list.

I really like that chaplain but just not here. He adds so little when you have so many other important things you could bring instead. If you want a guy to run with termies go with a librarian with nullzone and stormshield for 15 pts more.

Idk if it was mentioned....but I see the use of the extra armor on the LR a waste of time. With PotMS, I really wouldn't worry about shaken. I would take that 15 points and change Cassius to a libby....

Hmm, interesting. according to codex though, if I were to take a storm shield, I'd also have to take terminator armor. then either vulcan or libby would no longer fit in the raider. Should I get a librarian but use the 40 points elsewhere? As is I'm thinking of dropping cassius and the land raider's EA for the suggested librarian with null zone and avenger but no wargear. I'd then use the spare 40 points probably to put a hunter killer missile on each Rhino. could this work? If I stayed static first turn with Rhinos (probably only during KP missions) then I'd have 2 missiles coming from each one.

You can take a Razorback for a squad of ten. It just means you will have to split them into squads. With a heavy weapon and 4 marines in one, and the sarge with special weapon.
In KP games, you just leave them together and use the Razor as mobile cover.

You mean stunned. You assault termies inside so still being able to move is awesome. Then PotMS is still awesome as you can move forward and get into the 12'' MM range or indeed template.
Your argument would be spending a small number of points as you can sit still and still shoot, if you want that buy 2 preds.
