I need a bit of help.... I have to option of 12 more deffcoptas or a battle wagon.
I play frequently against Grey knights and imperial guard what do you suggest?

I have no experience against GK, but 12 Koptas seem to me to be the better option, especially if you're up against a parking lot.

It all depends on the rest of your list of course, but the Battlewagon would be easier to take down (especially with IG) and 12 TL rokkits + say, 9 PF attacks will put a lot more hurt on opposing armour.

(+ of course it's the more original option)

I'd say buy the koptas. They're good conversion fodder; you can turn the extras into warbuggies or bikes without a whole lot of trouble (well, SOME trouble, but not too much). Plus, they look cool.

You won't be able to field 23 koptas in a single army, of course. And you wouldn't want to anyway, they're not really that useful in large units.

Personally I'd field them in groups of 3, with Rokkits and 1 Buzzsaw per group.

I think I must be missing out on a meme here.

I like koptas in units of 1 or 5. making the maximum usually 15.

Planet strike seems utterly unfair to orks anyway, but I think I would prefer battlewagons given you will charging towards a small concentrated enemy when you can take a good number of koptas.

Apoc. there seems to be an awesome formation for them but they seem even more hit and miss.

Units of five koptaz do well until your opponent realizes that he can simply tank shock them off the board.
LD7 in a 300+ points unit which falls back 3d6 is not a good thing.

Unless you plan on converting the kopaz into buggies, you should get the battlewagon. Outside of apocalypse that many koptaz are not useful.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
