Howdy dakka

Just alittle project of mine to create a model that reflects a character in the local deathwatch group. The chapter is a Blood Angels successor called "The Heralds of Saguinus". What do y'all think?

Going to be doing another one later in the usual black/silver of deathwatch, just wanted to work up a chapter color scheme first.

It's a really nice paintjob, but the colour scheme seems a bit too bright for me. perhaps one or two washes from badab black might fix this?

He looks too nice, like he's guest starring on care bears.

I would file some wing insignias off, dirty him up with some washes and blood spatter and give him a trophy or two.

Personally, I find the color scheme garish. Also, while I see evidence of shading and highlighting on them, the blue and gold both feel flat, to me, especially compared to the rather starkly highlighted details and accessories. It's not badly painted, by any means, but I can't say that I like it.
