I was thinking of bucking the trend agains't the usual Las/Plas Razorbacks and making the army very Assault Cannon orientated due to the Rending ability.

It's a pretty aggressive army where Priests and Librarian ride with Assault Marines and provide FNP and a little more combat clout. Probably also start the Preds on the board most of the time as well.

Dreadnoughts have a Dual purpose: to provide fire support and to mop up any incursions through deep striking/infiltration.

Looks pretty good. Not sure if you need the Priests since the AM will be dead if they disembark and the enemy targets them. HOw about dropping them and squeezing in a Typhoon?

I think Vindicators would complement this army much more than the Riflemen do. You could cut the Baal sponsons to make it happen, and have enough left over for some Dozer Blades.

The Vindicators would draw fire and buy time for the rest of the army to get into threat range, plus give you some high strength firepower for stuff like Land Raiders with scary cargo.
