Been playing with a similar list for the past few months, but tweaked it recently and would appreciate some feedback! I typically play against Grey Wolves, Dark Eldar, and Orks. Usually play a doubles tourny in the summer and I would like to use this list as the building block for that list...

Well, the army needs a better balance. For this, I'd include a 2nd unit of Fire Dragons in a Serpent. Moreover, a Farseer with psychic protection (runes of warding) guiding the WW would be a useful add-on. Two WW units would suffice.

Hi! I love lists with loads of Warwalkers! very fun to play with, but even more fun when guided I havent had much exp with Prince Yriel so i couldnt comment on that, but I agree with taking a farseer with Warding, alot oh GK and SM librarian lists out there at the mo. Im not too sure what you planning on doing with the dire avengers, no blade storm i noticed.. Personally i would either give them an exarch with BS and if you can squeeze the extra points in make those 10 man units, or drop them down to 5 man units as 8 man squads without BS are pointless IMO. Fire dragon's WS drop the star engines for spirit stones. maybe with the warwalkers make one squad have EML. Drop the jetbikes for the 2nd fire dragon squad. Something like this i propose.....

Shove the Farseer in one of the WS with DA in for a nice BS

Again i dont have my codex to hand so not sure on points but i dont think its far off, if anything points under. Again this is just my opinion so dont think im pushing you into anything, play with what you enjoy playing with!

Eml or sl and of coarse bright lances are the way to go but walkers as the only heavy support not very affective because they are slow and a armour 10 which means even a squad of tact marines could bring one down and that's not good. With them being tl is a plus but I'd be very worried if I didn't go first. Now da should always be brought in a squad of 10 nothing less with the exarch abilitys bladestorm and defend very affective two squads of dragons is a beautiful thing with crack shot and tank hunter and I will agree and insiste on a farseer with fortune and guide or doom no brainer oh another must is all eldar vehicals need spirit stones or Holocaust fields if they don't have them don't even take the tank and price yerial is OK he can be insta killed but if added to a squad not bad I'd rather go with a autach with. A farseer or eldrad and farseer you have to remember eldar are weak in s and t so we need all the extra added abilitys from the psyckrs.

run another list by you, in the same vein - i've got a doubles tourny coming up and have designed the following list to match the force org restrictions. the tourny consists of 4 matches, in which you need to play objectives twice, kill points once, and victory points once. only allowed max of 1 hq, 1 elite, 3 troops, 1 fast, 1hvy.

my 1k list as follows:

Farseer w/ RoWarding, Jetbike, Fortune, Singing Spear - 133pts
3 Warlocks w/ 3 Singing Spear, 1 Embolden, 2 Destructor - 169pts

3 Jetbikes w/1 Shuri-Cannon - 76pts

5 DA 60
in Wave Serpent w/TL Shuri-Cannon 100

5 DA
in Wave Serpent w/TL Shuri-Cannon - 160pts

I am beginning to grow fond of Prince Yriel recently. He has several things going for him that make him more and more attractive.

1) Killing Scarabs. By the numbers Yriel should be able to delete pretty much any scarab farm. Think about it, charge straight in, get yourself as surrounded as possible, and fire off the eye of wraith. Blast means 2x wounds, s6 means instant death, and since its not a shooting attack no cover saves. If that doesn't clear the squad... the fearless saves will.

2) Hes also initiative 7, which means he can actually tangle with Grey Knights. His eye of wraith can wipe a squad of those guys, and he can fight capably with his power weapon. Warding hopefully will prevent his instant death.

Of course psychic defense and support provided by a farseer is more important. Still though, Yriel has gotten considerably better with the last 2 codex releases, and I plan to start using him in 2000 point games.

I wouldn't say he has gotten better to the point that he is worth bringing though. Aside from Scarabs he doesn't do much against Necrons, they just torrent him and anyone he is with to death or hit him in the head with a Warscythe. Against Grey Knights any kind of shooty build doesn't worry about him (S6 Psybolt Heavy Bolters) and anyone with Rad Grenades laughs at you. The extra 70 points he is more than a standard Autarch could buy you another Vyper (or Hornet), upgrade a standard Farseer to Eldrad and a host of other things which are going to be more helpful in the long run.

likewise. i usually take an autarch w/fusion gun to go with fire dragons, but i brought yriel along once vs. grey knights and he did surprisingly well. i'd definitely make room for him in my 1.5k list. i can't bring him in the doubles tourny as there is only one hq slot allowed and farseer with anti-psych is just much more valuable ...
