Hello out there

Here is one of the old armies I have awoke up from long slumber.
I have collect this cult for the space hulk game, but have over time grown to a army itself.
Around the corner a imperial guards army from the rouge trader era awaits and more.

Thank you, Zinderneuf, you are right, they are rare. My friends had never played aginst a Genestealer cult army before, so it was nice to playtest them the first time we played 40k in our newly open gameing club.

A here is the first picture of my next army, also from the rouge trader era.

Imperial Guard, the infanteri i almost dune.(the helmets have now boltmetal color instead if white ) Just the squad color on chestbagdes and a line in the center of the helmets left, then just glue them together.

Oh wow, that is the exact same colour scheme I used back in the day for my guard, same models also. I love seeing these obscure retro armies. Thanks for sharing.


Ackkk I see the goblin green base there on one of the troopers, I remember when all bases had to be painted like that =o[

Here are two more squads and some HQ troops. Next to come will be rapiers. (Now days called laser destroyers, very cruel artillery, I have play tested them.)

Here comes my painted rapiers, 2 different typs and 3 artillery guns in total.

One group picture, rapiers in action then I first play tested them, nasty is all I can say. and purple squad.

I had to paint something different for a time, instead of just imperial guard. So i painted this rouge trader space marine captain in terminator armor in my own chapters colors, Sons of taogoli
(I will play him as captain in anccent armor)

I am a bit stuck in the rouge trader era, collecting both figgs and books. Love to read the fluff

Cave_dweller, it took me 4 years to collect all Genestealer cult figgs, Squats about 3 year (and I think i have enough figs to make one engineers guild expeditionary force army and one brotherhood army) and last the imperial guards about half a year. (I got lucky in a local Swedish forum and got the most in one deal, and discovered ebay)

After i got my hands on the first tyranid codex i started to like the cult. After what
i got a lucky strike at a local Swedish trading homepage and got my first 10 hybrids. And after what they have grown fig after fig to an army it self. (But it took time)

I recommend to look at local gaming forum for old figgs, many people have old figgs what just collecting dust and are happy sell them to you (if you ask nicely)
