Hi, I thought if i did a blog on the stuff im currently working on it might help me to get my *** motivated into painting some of my millions of models that are sitting around blacked up (if there Lucky!) im not the greatest painter and i take a lousy picture but I do try!

I will try and post more pics on a weekly basis of the stuff im working on, all comments are welcomed.

This is the Contemptor Dread im doing for the Doom Legion, any ideas what i could do with the base?

I bought a 1/48 scale Sherman from Hobby Boss for my SOTR heres a couple of pics of it, im really happy with the kit there is plenty of detail on it if thats what you are after or you could leave it as basic as you like! i've added one pic pre painting and then 2 of the finished tank after weathering etc with some Armoured Infantry for scale, I've also added a pic of some more Armoured Infantry mid stage painting.

For the Colours i base coat dark angel green for the armour and legging, and Iyanden darksun for the boot covers and tunis, i use calthan brown on the weapons and back packs, the next step is a scorpion green coat on the armour and legs before a straight wash of devlan mud over the enitre figure, i then use kommando khaki on the tunics, boltgun on any metal and codex grey on the gas masks. (i only use GW paints as thats all i have)

I really like the look you have going for the zombies - crisp, but feels very...oozy, if you get what I mean.

Everything looks good, they could use some highlighting though.

Good point, especially the Troopers if they aren't finished off, they are on the flat side, even a simple bit of drybrushing would probably help make them pop.

the Zombies are really easy to paint, i saw a painting guide for doing flesh on zombies on another site and for the life of me i cant find it anywhere, basically the uniforms are just adeptus battle grey and dark angel green with a devlan wash coat, the skin is mechrite red, then devlan mud then highlight with talarn flesh and finishing with elf flesh, to finish them off i put a 50/50 wash dark green ink over them and a bit of red wash over the hands and mouths and Bobs you uncle.

the troopers in the bottom pic are half done i still need to put the brown on the guns, boots and equipment before applying the wash, I'll give the dry brush a go on these guys to see how they look though im going for the dirty run down look as IMO it fits the setting.

I have another Sherman though its from Westwind i dont think it gits the scale of the mini's when compared to my other one as its 1/60 rather then 1/48 So im a little disappointed as it comes from Westwind's Berlin or Bust range I would expect the scale to be correct.

This is what i will be painting next, its a Commanche Battlesuit from the SOTR range, i added the pilot from the Sherman kit i got, I think it fits in quite well.

Here are some Doom Legion Terminators the Black Reach force Commander and a Minor Terminator Commander conversion I have finished.

Havent really done much m,ore of anything recently too much time on the xbox! heres some Brit Late war Infantry that i've got from Warlord games.

This is my GW 25th Anniversary Captain, not painted a Crimson Fist before so pretty pleased wiith the results.
