Hey, so i have an old Basilisk I have been sitting on since IW's are not allowed one with the current codex. I'm wondering if converting it into a defiler with the leftovers of the daemon prince box would be an allowable conversion (I know the defiler model itself will be significantly wider/taller) Unless somebody has seen a rumor somewhere saying they might be allowed to take the basilisk again in the next addition? i haven't seen anything in there on them. Thanks in Advance!

If it's representing a vehicle that's been possessed and mutated by an especially powerful daemon, the idea seems fluffy enough. But you'd need quite a few large demonic (biological or mechanical) limbs and weapons for it to look good and vaguely match a defiler's size. Depends what else you have in your bits box.

Personally I'd just turn it into 'Wrecked Vehicle' scenery.

Wow, i like that conversion, I had envisioned the demon coming out of the side, having a daemon prince right arm w/ sword or axe then green-stuffing the other arm to be melded up the barrel of the cannon. I had intended to leave it on the treads of the chimera then add a bunch of demon-y bits/things jutting out of the hull.

My idea was I use my tanks as crabs, so the bask would have big claws holding onto terrain to brace itself, and the back legs are modified to look more like shock absorbers

You could put it up on the trader and try to swap it for something allowed in the codex.

That might be worth doing, not sure i just picked up this german cannon thing from the game DUST think ill try and daemon it up a bunch, use the earthshaker cannon in the body somehow the scale seems to work really well and the legs are sufficiently "Crabby"

As for what you are thinking about, GW loves it when we kit bash and do conversions. The defilier is a daemonic engine so as long as your opponent knows that is what it is then go for it.

Those are both great conversions! Ive got a lot of work to do now when i get some time (Finals start next week) (Mass Effect 3 comes out) But i do think ive got a good starting place thanks everyone for the responses ill post up again when ive got some actual work done on him.

That is pretty nice. I think the defilier is one of the best kits to use as aqn erector set.
