How exactly does this weapon (the rocket launcher) work? When you fire a rocket, do you get to roll d3 scatters per shot? Do you roll one and count it d3 times or something? Anyone know the ruling on that

You fire a rocket and roll a D3. That is how many shots the Storm Eagle breaks into (blast markers). You do this each time you fire, until you are out of rockets.

Not sure if it's been faq'd but it's not clear if you flip the number of pieplates or resolve each of the d3 shots seperatly. but based on how the Eldar reaper launcher works I'd guess treat it as "multiple barrage"-rule even if it is a single model.

That's what I've been unclear about. Not sure if it's multi barrage or d3 separate shots.

Neither is anybody else; IG-Sqroot gave you a precedent with the Eldar Dark Reaper Exarch Tempest launcher(A 2-shot barrage weapon); which has an FAQ that tells us to treat it as a multiple barrage, but the you are going to have to discuss how to handle it with each new opponent.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

The precedent set by the Eldar faq about the Tempest Launcher make it resolve as multiple barrage.

I agree that it should be resolved as a multiple barrage. You place the first blast, then flip off of that one.

Ok thanks. I'll use it as multiple barrages until someone else tells me otherwise

Puma 713 got it right. Scatter dice after the first hit, for up to 3 total landings. Same as the motors.

If they tell you to do it otherwise, ask them to show you. Cause neither the direct fire or barrage rules cover how to handle a single weapon that fires multiple blast markers. The only indication we have is the Eldar FAQ.
