This may seem like a stupid question to some, but if a Striking Scorpion Exarch, takes the Chainsabres option, does he get twin-linked shuriken pistols? It seems the part about the shuriken pistols is fluff, but I can see it being read either way.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Since it makes no reference to using the shuriken pistol rules, the pistols are just a fluff explanation for the Chainsabres' ability to re-roll.

I would read it as you have two shuriken pistols, and usually unless otherwise stated that translates to having a twinlinked pistol. Makes sense to me.

There's no rules basis for assuming two of the same weapon = twinlinked. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not. Based on the whim of the author

OK their seems to be some confusion about my post. As much as I'm loathed to post this, this is the part that is somewhat confusing to me:
Chainsabres: Some Exarchs train in the use of blades paired with ancient gauntlets that house twin-linked shuriken pistols, allowing them to level a storm of attacks at their foes. A model with chainsabres has +X Attacks and can re-roll all failed to hit and to wound rolls.
As I said, it seems the part about the shuriken pistols is fluff, but...

The twin-pistols is just the fluff 'justification' in letting you have +X attacks and re-rolls.
You do not actually get 2 Shuriken pistols with the sabres.
