Ok for instance, trying a strange build here but
can an independent character join any squad it wishes like for instance a heavy weapons team?
Can a tyranid prime join a tyranofex?
|
Anything will die if you can stab it enough. |

You can join any squad that does not always consist of one model.
That means you can attach a Prime to a Carnifex Brood, but you cannot put him with a Tyrannofex (always 1 of them). You can join a Heavy Weapons Squad or a Devastator squad but you cannot join Mephiston or Crowe who always count as a single model.

Powerful Phoenix Lord

Unless the IC has a restriction on joining a unit (i.e. Eldar Phoenix Lords), the unit specifically states that an IC cannot join it, or the unit always consists of 1 model (i.e most Monstrouc Creatures), the IC can join them.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Extra exception: ICs cannot join vehicle units, even if the unit can consist of more than 1 model.
