Subject: 2nd Edition Yarrick (now with finished pics)

Ah, thanks for clearing that up!
Hope the paintjob helps that model because DAAAAYUUUM THAT'S ONE UGLY MOTHER!
Matter of opinion
I like old pinchy Yarrick (prob cause I never painted him). Looking forward to more pics
Thankyou!
I found him on eBay and I got filled full of nostalgic warmth!
Not sure whether to go full on 2nd edition with him, or give him an up-to-date twist?
I love the old Yarrick model just because of his old rules, if a unit can see him from anywhere on the board they never run. That was huge for guard in the tale end of RT.
Thank you!
I love this model as it just reminds me of why I got into 40K to begin with! This and the old metal Catachan missile launcher and heavy bolter teams!

It's not nice to use ad-hominems
Really? I love the model! Granted, he is extremely dated compared to the sculpts and poses they have now.
It's mainly the "ARRRR!!! WE SHALL MEET AGAIN!!!" poses from 2nd Ed. This is why I didn't bought a Ragnar nor an Ulrik for my SW and will rather kit bash 'em.
This very model was actually the very first "character" I ever bought for WH40k way back in the day. If only I knew then that I could *never* afford to play IG as a 14 year old with all the models that were required... I bought Yarrick and a box of Catachans, and that ended up being all the IG force I could financially muster.

Yeah, I had him when I was about 14 but as he was 2nd hand then he was in a bit oif a state and has since vanished into the Warp during one of my many house moves since!
I'm slowly but surely managing to collect a lot of the old models I had, for nostalgic reasons if nothing else!
