The wood looks like its been varnished far too heavily, unless that's just the camera angle and source lighting.

In either case, I can't help but feel some more colours here and there for contrast would dramatically help this model pop more.

I'd suggest you go back and do some heavy drybrushing with your base colours on all of that wood, trying to keep the washes in the recesses.
