So guys,
I have decided to make an army of Vostroyans by converting them from Cadians. It is going to be a mammoth task but I reckon I can handle it.
I have to sculpt each Vostroyan individually but then they will be cast in resin. I will be sculpting around 30 Vostroyans and then casting about 150 of them.
So here are the first images:

Close up (you might just be able to make out the 'V' and 'I' on his chestplate)

First painted pictures (not finished yet that is why there is green on the legs):

Vostroyan Sergeant (Colour is a bit dodgy but you can see some detail. When he is dry more detail will be added also I will smooth him out a bit):

With arms:

Sorry about the quality of the close up model but it is hard to get it clear when it is that zoomed in.

Good idea! The world needs more Vostroyans!

I think the only problem you're going to have is the overall bulk of the models. I ran into this with my Cadian -> Vostroyan tank commander. Since the Cadian models are already at the correct bulk for a normal human, adding GS (or whatever it is you're using to sculpt with) makes them too husky. Your first model up there is a great example: good sculpting, but he looks chubby because the proportions are off.

IMHO, I think you should go all out an start from wireframes with this project

I understand where you are coming from, but I think Vostroyans are meant to be russian style that is why I prefer them to look husky, also Vostroya itself is inhospitable so I would imagine they would be a bit like catachans.

(Also I'm absolute gak at sculpting from scratch)
