Looking good so far. You wouldn't think that blue would work on renegades, but the scratched and rusted effect looks nice.

Thanks, i use the blue throughout all of my armies (CSM, daemons and guard) to give a sense of unity when they are all together on a table, it looks quite intimidating

Love the idea mate, always planned to do some traitor guard myself !

like the platoon commander as a model, can't wait to see him painted

Also the colour of the fatigues is a bit to close to flesh colour, making skin and tissue hard to make out, a shame realy !

I suppose you are going for a slanesh cut guard ?

Any sexy backstory ( sexy... slanesh get it ? ) to go with it ?

Thanks,

Yeah i haven't washed or highlighted the skin yet so it still looks quite flat.

Yes, yes i am as it goes with my marines and daemons, plus i like painting bright colours

I'm just working on it now actually...

- Extracts from Mac tíre Siúlóir F. O'Malleigh, leading a detachment of Hibernian rangers stationed alongside the PDF of petriss 9 (level 3 class planet) Their objectives were to quell increasing unrest in the various hives around the planet aswell as train the PDF in guerilla warfare tactics -

'Operation day 12, entered Fentiman's hive under suspicion that the main cult was situated here within the upper hive, presumably a power hungry noble. Insertion was relatively easy as the hive is currently experiancing large scale riots.'

'Operation day 20, no news from our PDF liason since entering the hive, the activities of the rioters have become more violent although also more organised. Smaller groups are being isolated and destroyed by a large mob that has been growing for several days now. Requests for back-up have gone unanswered, and i am beginning to worry that the PDF have been wiped out'

'Day 32, The hive has erupted in full scale war against the imperium, cathedrals have been desecrated and huge symbols, painted in blood, now adorn the walls.
saighdiúir Rourke was killed on a scavenging mission; our first casualty since entering the hive. He was looking for supplies in a hab-block when a large gang entered from the ground floor and procceeded to clear all the rooms with grenades and flamethrowers. There was nothing we could do... (several seconds of silence) What made the event more disheartening was that the gang were wearing the armour of the PDF.'

'Day 57, We have retreated into the bowels of the hive in a hope to escape the roving death squads in the hive above. It seems that the whole planet has fallen to this foul worship and completely denounced the imperium. The PDF had indeed sided with the traitors as i had previously thought and are in the proccess of of eradicating all opposition. We have hunkered down in the hopes that someone from the an chomhairle has noticed our lack of reports and sent reinforcements. This will be the last recording i create as i fear we may be tracked through this device. Emperor Protect.'

--- The devise in question was found when the planet was purged by no less than 3 companies of the Hunters of Cernunnos space marine chapter. No bodies were recovered at the scene although there was evidance of a firefight and IED detonations; all members of the unit are presumed dead. Most of the cultists and much of the PDF had already left Petriss before the marines made planetfall. Rumour suggests they are now following the Heralds of Excess on their crusade against the imperium. ---

I know its a bit wordy but i hope its okay. More to come hopefully

Do you use Siege of Vraks rules, or IG?

The 'Vox guy' as you put him, is looking epic.
In order to chaos-ify, for renegades, you quite often just need
to make them look dirty, uncared for, and you could try
mutations, and even a few spikes.

keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments.

I use the IG codex as i own a copy, are the two lists that different?

The red markings, transfers and wyche heads are what i'm currently using to represent their chaosy-ness but i'm not sure if its enough...

@shadowbrand Yeah it just took a little filling on the wyches necks so the proportions were a bit more realistic

They are very different, such as random leadership(not a good
thing...), being able to take CSMs as elites, off field artillery, and
minefields, the last 2 are only for apoc though

The whole squad - not sure if you can make it out but the guardsman on the far left is carrying the scabard for Assren's sword (because he's to cool to carry it himself obvs.)

Rather excited as i just found my old metal spawn model and was wondering if there is any way that i could fit it into an imperial guard list. Any ideas? i was thinking maybe as a count as Nork?

Nork would work, or as a rough rider?

Not sure really,

Maybe a heavy weapons squad and a box of Dark Eldar....

Although the paint job you've done on that Chimera has made me want to buy one for my Platoon Command Squad, hmm, decisions....

I guess you'll just have to wait and see
