Hey everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this; if not i'm sorry. Anyway, after again being beaten on an ebay deal for some 'official' sonic weapons i was wondering if anyone had any pictures/ tutorials etc. that they wouldn't mind posting to help me with my dilemma.

Many thanks,
Bores

Would these be okay as Count-as sonic blasters?

For a terminator or maybe a blastmaster?

Yup, I'd accept those as a good counts-as.

The secret would be to make it absolutely visibly clear to people which ones are Sonic Blasters and which ones are Blastmasters.

I'd say go whatever you think looks cool but make certain you use the same bits throughout your army. One thing I would advise you to buy is guitar-string, it's great in making noise weapons out of regular bolters and such.

Just use a regular bolter, add guitar-string for pipes/lines etc. (put one end into the weapon and the other end in the backpack or under the shoulder pad), replace the muzzle with vox-pieces or some such. I have even seen old possessed marines' heads used as "muzzles" which looked great IMO. Also, cut off the magazine as it's not necessary. It looks a bit silly if the magazine is still on it.

I don't know what you have in your bit-box or how many noise weapons you'd need but I can tell you that the official weapons are a pain to put together and you are probably better off converting anyway. I used all official bits for my Noise Marines and it drove me nuts as it takes a lot of pinning.

The examples you put up look cool

Thanks for the help guys.

@ArbitorIan i wasn't really planning on using Blastmasters in my squads as they''re just to expensive, although i've got enough of the official ones to arm 4 guys so i might use them as havocs and have them count as Autocannons; but that might be pushing it a bit...

@Adept Vai Cheers for the heads up on the guitar wire, i'll keep an eye out for that, and thanks for the modelling idea. I've got one official sonic blaster and i agree with what your saying; although it would be nice to have a whole army armed with them... Guess i'll have to wait until i'm not on such a tight budget
