HQ:

Prince with Jet Pack, Force shield and fusion gun

Troops:

4 x 10 man Squads of Corsairs. Jet packs and 2 Fusion guns and 2 EML per squad. The rest of the squad will just have lasblasters.

1 x squadron of Wasp Assault Walkers each with two Star Cannons and spirit stones.

Fast Attack:

3 x Hornets, each with 2 Pulse Lasers, Holo Fields and Spirit Stones.

Should come to 1750 points exactly

This isn't to play in Tournaments (especially since it's a FW army anyway) but just for regular games. I do want to be able to put them on the table and be able to win games though. Also, I regularly face 2+ armour so that's why I feel the need to go for more AP2 stuff like the pulse lasers and star cannons rather than scatter lasers.

I feel it has a lot of movement and some really good high powered, long ranged firepower. it's quite squishy but the idea is to keep on the move and put out masses of shooting which I think this list can produce. I have the weaponry to be able to take out everything from AV14 with the fusion guns to softer larger units with the EML plasma shots and everything in between. What do you think? What's going to be the biggest problem I'll face running this army? Will it be really difficult to keep those squads on foot alive for long?

I'm not talking from experience: my next army will hopefully be a corsair list though.

I like the jetpack troops, but once you need to use fusion guns they must get in close.
4 of those squads seems like a lot to me? Ideally you will want to find some LOS blocking terrain to JSJ around, getting that for 4 squads is tough. Also, the s3 guns won't do a lot, there's no Doom to play around with.
IMO these squads will spend time fleeing from the enemy instead for going into melta range?

I would drop to 2 of these squads and spend the points elsewhere, if only to get a bit more variety.

I know what you say about the 4 squads looking like a lot but personally, I don't feel comfortable having only two troops choices in case I end up in an objective game. Plus, you get 1 EML per five guys in a squad so 10 is the ideal number to take those as I'll get 8 in total across the army. Also, I'm taking 4 squads because I realise just how squishy they are and need the extra bodies. The lasblasters have a 24" range (effectively 30" with JSJ) so I'll be able to better engage units at range which is what this army needs to do. I know the S3 is a bit of a bummer but the 12" shuriken catapults just don't reach far enough even with JSJ.

This list is kind of a risky one I suppose as it's going to rely on putting out massive firepower in the first couple of turns in the hope of causing the enemy enough damage that it won't be able to respond. I I don't get first turn then it also has some great reserve abilities because absolutely everything can deepstrike. The Hornets can also outflank and and fire all their weapons even when moving at cruising speed. I just wish i could find a way to work in a void dreamer for his warp portal...
