So I decided to bite the bullet, and I am going to do my local GWs "Tale of Four Gamers". My store's manager said that if we had models already, but they weren't assembled/painted, we could use them for this.

For those of you who don't know, the Tale of Four Gamers is a monthy challenge type thing. Each month, you assemble and fully paint 500 points of models from either 40k or Fantasy. Since I already had some unpainted Lizardmen lying around, I decided to buy another Battleforce, and get cracking.

Here are the first 500 points assembled. I'm going to paint them tomorrow, and then upload some pics.

Alrighty, here's an update. I've gotten the first skin layer on all of the lizzies of my first 500 points (all I'm doing this month), and I have even finished up a Skink.

Just noticed an issue. Apparently, I goofed up the equipment for my skinks. They can't have blow pipes and shields, it must be BP and CCW.


Screw it, shield = painful CCW. Plus they can hide behind them, right? Riiiiiight? (nope)

With this are games going to be played as well?

If so, are you adhering to percentages?

I am going to play games with my lizzies. Also, this army is optomized for percentages. (spoiler warning: the full 2000 pt list will have a Slann, Tetto'eko, and Gor-Rok!)

Alright, I didn't finish the unit, but I did make some progress.

Yes. Also, I played 2 games with this army. The first game was against Wood Elves. I creamed them.

The second game was against Brettonians. I got creamed.

Once your point value goes up you should by all means walk through just about everyone. Lizardmen are regarded as one of if not the best army around for competitive play

Yeah. I'm sure things will be different with both Tetto'Eko AND a Slann Mage Priest.

I like what you are doing with the basing... that dry-brush effect looks really nice. Keep up the good work!

For the 1500 points, I dropped Gor-Rok for a Scar Vet to make room for Tetto'Eko (although the part is still played by Gor-Rok), and I kept the Oldblood.

In next month's issue:

Sword 'n' Board warriors, a Slann Mage-Priest, and the Return of Gor-Rok.

Quick, long over due update, I lied. Gor-Rok shall not return for the 2000 points, although there will be Steg.
