What do you reckon would be the best way to go about doing ginger hair?
Everyone should embrace the ginge so fancied doing a few models with a ginger barnet.
Not see you jimmy Ginger, more of a willow from buffy ginger.
Cheers

When they're pretty they're called redheads .
But yeah, I'd say mix a coppery tone from orange and a little brown, then depending on the rest of the paintjob and hair colour desired either a brown or purple wash, bring it back up ith the coppery colour, subtle orange highlights in just the right places. Would be the easiest I think.

I took Mechrite Red foundation, highlight Blood Red, then washed with Devlan Mud for my gingers. I suck at highlighting... Please note front Wolf Guard (crappy picture, I know. Stupid phones...)

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one? |

I would suggest series of progressively lighter highlights. A good start would be a basecoat of Bestial Brown and then the first highlight being Blazing Orange. I would drybrush the highlights so it looks more natural.

I often do Bestial Brown then vermin brown highlights, with a mix of bleached bone and vermin brown at the end or occasionally a bit of orange at the top. I've also done orange base with a brown wash, then a thinned orange highlight. My gingers are somewhat irregular across my armies, but that's fairly normal given the variation in reds, really.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

THIS
i think you can achieve that kind of red by painting a red mixed with a little bit of brown. then use orangy highlights and wash with devlan mud... then clean up with your red/brown mix

I used bright yellow (Sunburst Yellow?) as a base, and then layered on thin coats of Baal Red wash to get a pretty decent orangy-red. EDIT: The photo doesn't perfectly represent the colors, but you can see where this method will take you. Highlight with thinned orange or yellow to finish.
