A selection of Blood Bowl team's I've painted for customers (and for myself) in the last few months. First up, the "Hard Knockers". More tomorrow.

THE HARD KNOCKERS

Next up we have another (mostly) female Dwarf team. This was another commission. The customer wanted the Florida Gator's colour scheme and that's what he got. I reckon it worked out quite well.

In retrospect I really should have painted that guy's belt pouches in Orange rather than white.

Next up we have my human team: speed painted, as they're for my own use rather than a customer, so the paint job leaves a little bit to be desired.

Sorry about the threadomancy, but these guys have been my first BB commission in a while. Griff Oberwald and the Mighty Zug, commissioned as prizes for the winner of the Blood Bowl tournament on day one of Chaos of the Warp IV, in Dunfermline.

I've decided that there's no point keeping two separate BB threads for the team's I paint for myself and those I paint for customers, so I'm adding in some photographs of my WIP Chaos Pact team, the Salacious Throng. Here are the images for the two players I have finished so far. With work and the tournament scene having been so busy recently, I haven't been able to do any more work on the Team for a while, but I've already built the "Thugs" from a mixture of Dark Eldar Warriors and Wyches. I'm hoping to start putting some more paint to plastic soon.

First up, we have the Team Captain, the Dark Elf player:

Then we have the Troll Player, a converted Femme Fatale from Reaper Miniature. This was originally a male Ogre figure, with breasts added and the club replaced with a mushroom. Why a mushroom? To remind me about Always Hungry rolls if I ever have to throw the team's goblin player.

I also have a converted Minotaur figure, but the conversion work was so minimal there's no point putting up an image until he's painted. Goremember is actually the only male member of the team. Mostly because there aren't supposed to be any female Minotaurs, as far as I can tell.

They all look great, in particular the dwarfs and the sessy elves. Good to see some BB models on here, especially ones painted to such a high standard, thanks for sharing

Thank you for kind words guys. Here's some images of a human Blood Bowl team I just finished today. Photo quality isn't as good as for the last batch, but hopefully they still look okay. It was really cool to paint some classic BB miniatures, especially the 80's human Star Player, 80's Morg, 90's Griff, 90's Zug and (best of all) Thrud the Blood Bowl Player. A real blast from the past (Thrud the Barbarian was a regular comic strip in the early days of White Dwarf, back before issue numbers reached triple digits).

Guess I'm showing my age.

Oh man, that last Human team really brings back some memories! I was a huge BB player back in the early-mid 90's and had both the classic Griff and The Mighty Zug.... Whenever the situation presents itself I have the occasional game with my lil bro (he's 28 now...). Just like the good old days, cheers dude!

On a side note, digging that Wood Elf team, awesome minis and an equally sweet paint job, top notch!

Thanks Sapredons. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. The forums normally email me to let me know when someone replies to one of my posts. Not this time though.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

I only spotted your reply because I came on to post these. Competition prizes I was commissioned to paint for the Chaos of the Warp V Blood Bowl tournament.

First Prize is the Ogre and one of the Elves. Second and third place go home with an elf star Player each.

Wow, it's really been a month without painting a Blood Bowl team? Whew. Looks like my latest commission came in just in time. The customer was wanting a non-traditional colour scheme for his Wood Elves. I send him some images from the net and he asked for test miniatures of these two:

However, he also came up with some ideas of his own, which I think are much better looking:

Personally, I'm really looking forward to painting these guys. Not to mention the Greebo miniatures Chaos Dwarf team that will be coming to me later this month as well.

Thanks Loricatus. I'm hard pushed to choose a favorite myself, but both those female BB teams were great fun to paint.

Thank you guys. It might be a while before the next update on this thread - I haven't had any more BB orders since I finished the Chaos Dwarves.

Might give me a chance to finish off my Nurgle team though.
