Can't say I've ever seen one like this before, good conversions. I also like the edging, but on the right side the lines are too thick.

I am not a fan.
Your using a wrecking ball as a stand in for a Dread CC? They have completely different rules. I have seen people do Marine Dreads with lots of customizing to make it a Ork dread, usually involves tearing open the sarcophagus and building a Ork with hoses coming out of him and such.

The lining work is a good idea, but its really heavy. You could add in another highlight on top of the orange to make it look less thick, but you'd have to go up a stage and then blend the red / orange a bit

Thanks for the feedback guys I'll tidy the lining up when I get a chance.

njpc, the way I see it, if you're hit by a demolition ball then you're screwed, regardless of armour. That's why I think it works.

Lets put it this way...
A wrecking ball is a upgrade for a trukk or battlewagon, which can drastically change how close you get to it, as it can be used to swipe at unengaged targets. People are not very familiar with Ork upgrades as is even with the very popular ones... red paint, grot riggers....

So people will not know an Ork Dreadnaught does not have access to one. Your risk of confusing an opponent is very very high. It also does not represent your chosen weapon at all... unless you feel like making your Dreadnaught Str 9 instead of 10. In general your conversion should look the part, and represent its rules. Yours does neither.

You could just pick up the Killa Kan box which has more then enough / extra Ork Dread CC weapons in it. It has more then needed to make 3 killa kans. Plus then you can add 2 extra CC arms, which are better anyway most games.

Having a bad day?
Keep it down a little if you don't mind.

He is showing off a nice little conversion. Apparently he isn't amongst the most talented guys out there, but it's well executed so there is no reason to be so harsh.
And since nobody knows about certain ork upgrades as you are trying to tell us, no one will mind if he is telling them that this wrecking ball counts as a close combat weapon.
Rule of cool applies for me, not some nit picking about the shape of a certain weapon.

Nope, not having a bad day.
Just pointing out why opponents may have trouble with his model. I already commented in positive ways on his painting work and how to try to get the desired effect he is shooting for. Nothing I said was harsh.

As far as talent I'd disagree, he has the basics of how to paint, he has a clear intent, from there its a matter of making it work. If you think i'm nitpicking i'm not, i'm giving advice to save the OP headache later when he runs into an opponent who has a problem with it especially since it does not reference the intended weapon options. Perhaps you should re-read my post?

Thank you both, I really do appreciate the feedback. I probably will pick up a killa kan box set and see what I can do. Plus I'll see what I can do regarding my lining.
