cant make up my mind which back pack to use. the left 1 is gw IG back pack the right is from prince august.

definetly the Gw IG backpack. well that is my opinion because they look like the germans from WW1 so they had carried alot in their rucksacks so kinda works here too.

Personally, if you felt like going to the effort, I think it would be worth cutting up and mixing the kits, otherwise the left

why not a mix of the two, add some variation

I like the one of the right out of the 2. But its not like the one on the left is bad. A mix would do nicely.

I like the warzone pack. I'd say go with that one, or better still, mix them up even. Perhaps the ones with the larger sacks are carrying squad equipment too, while the ones with the smaller ones just carry individual gear.

I also just want to say that, in spite of how much people rip on them, those shock troops look damn sharp painted. You did a pretty good job on them.

Is the modeling range Warzone? I really like the look of them

Yeah, that's one of the packs you get from that giant prince august bag they have on their website. It's something like 80 miniatures for $80. There's only about 3-4 variations between them all, but they make awesome stand-ins for sci-fi games like Alternity or Shadowrun should you just need a bunch of dudes. Sadly though, quality wise, the backpacks are some of the best pieces from the range.

I like the backpack on the right.

use the backpacks to seperate the troop types, veterans have more, command squads have less, troops have junk etc etc etc

Mix them, i like the one with the bedroll, but add some variation to the squads... Soldiers get "basic kits", but they carry only what they really want from the kit...

As others had said, I would mix 'em up.

I'd go with the Games Workshop one.

I prefer the one on the right, it gives the model a but more character. But, as almost everyone else has said - it would be much better to mix them up for personality.
