And am wondering if I could make one by splitting each leg into 2 (not glue them together) and make a 6 legged version, and the arms, OR the tail (only for the time being). I would still need the demolisher cannon though..
So, do you guys think it can be done?
Thanks

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.
After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.
Games workshop before they went and became fascists against helping you make conversions, published an instruction set of how to make a brass scorpion from two defiler kits.
I did some searching, and the instructions can be found here.. Remember to send a PM to brass scorpion thanking him for posting instructions.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.
I'm sorry, but no. It simply does not work with the half legs. Just because you can do something does not mean you should. This model may probably be a centerpiece for your army and you're going for a half-arsed skinflint approach with it? If you're appearing not to put in the effort, why bother at all?
Kitbash Brass Scorps look a lot better when built out of 2 Defilers IMO, as they look, you know more like an actual Scorpion, having the required amount of legs and all.
Here's mine (since sold on many moons ago)
and a Scorpion, note the 8 legs and 2 claws.

If you break apart my or anyone else's posts line by line I will not read them.
The half-legs don't cut it. The amount of work required to finish those is equivalent to just building the legs from scratch....
That said, ignore grimtuff's argument about the requisite biological resemblance to a real scorpion. I'm absolutely positive he does not go ape-gak when a space marine rhino does not look like this:
so, I'm pretty sure he can handle the fact that your praticular brass scorpion insists on having 6 legs instead of 8.

I have to agree with Grimtuff, Half legs just look a bit unfinished to me, also agree on the scorpion 8 leg thing, followed the gw instructions but just cut a little higher and you get 8 legs! its simple! ^_^
Your looking at 2 defiler kits and an old Dark eldar raider! The front panels are the old Raiders prow, I also used the foot plates to cover the back and flesh it out a bit more!
Mainly because you need the second set of claws to make the articulated tail. also, to getteh additonal legs you need to use 2 Defiler "bodies", cut in half and back to back.
Annoyingly, i dont appear to have any "in action" or tabletop pics of mien with decent lighting. these pics are the final test fit before i glued all the legs and the tail in place:
I used a Punisher cannon instead of the autocannons for the tail gun. and used the claw guard from the Soulgrinder kit as a kind of flash gaurd over the tail gun.
