Here is my new pretty, my Ork Dakkajet, almost done. I lit the engines with blue LEDs, the front turbo scoop with a red one, and the cockpit with a green one. It was frotunante that the little round projection on the fuselage matched my switch perfectly. When I'm finished, I will be able to use it as a Dakkajet, or a Burna' Bommer

yeah and I haven't even touched them yet with photoshop to color correct or watermark them. If anyone has suggestions on camera settings, I am always willing to listen. (PLEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSEEEEE!!!!)

Generally you want a single color background like white, black or grey.. It will allow us to see the model and not be distracted by what is in the background.. As far as camera settings, it varies with the situation.. There is no set rule to it, just play with the settings and see how it comes out.. If you want links to help with doing a background or setting up a light tent. Just as and I will post them..

I do have a light booth, we have played with different color backgrounds. I thought I had had the settings for total darkness with LEDs, but they have escaped my mind as I have delved too deeply in the Orky psyche.....

If orks can build teleporters and force field projectors I think a few lights on a plane are well within reason.

Finished it on Monday(6/4/2012) just now getting around to posting it. I love this model, and can't wait to get another. As soon as my magnets come in, I will magnetise the Rokkits and take pics of that one. And I will get the WIP pics of the inside so that they can be seen.

I dont play Orks, though I have built a handful of them just for fun...Im thinking this new jet might be a bit of fun to build as well...

I am thinking that the Orks need a P-38ish plane. Aproject I may be undertaking soon....

Fantastic! I've been working on mine, but messed up. I didn't notice the pieces that go between the first bit off the fuselage and the wings (that let you add a set of supa-shootas). They're not shown in the dakka-jet instructions, just the blitz-bomma instructions, so now I'm stuck cutting my wings off :(

The LEDs and paint job are awesome though! Guessing you magnetized the top vent panel, so you can add the grot gunner when you use it as a burna-bomma, or did you just not glue it in?

the top cowling is not nagnetized, it just sits there, and it allows me access to the battery, the switches I use was a perfect fit for thelittle round knob that is molded on the fuselage, I cut it out and replaced it with my switch. There is five feet of wire inside the plane, 6 LEDs all run by a single CR2032 button cell battery.
