I'm glad the images show the build up on the edging of the cloak.
The colour scheme was inspired by the idea of the Celestians being venerated as the best of the Order and so I gave them gold Power Armour with a silver trim, although you're right, the washes have dulled them nicely and make them look more archaic.

I know what you mean. I had this debate with myself whilst painting the model, but decided that,
imo, they resemble a gauntlet more than a glove and as many of the
SoB models don't have any visible close-combat weapons on their person it seemed fitting that they'd have a nice hefty armoured fist for slugging heretics in the mouth

WD SoB Codex update, so I'm still working out how to proxy my Storm Troopers into the mix as well as my Inquisitor and retinue.
