Hello.

For my first proper thread, I decided to show what I'm currently working on:

Steel Wing Apothecary:







My DIY are Iron Hands successors. I decided that I wanted my Command squad to be scratch built than just buying the GW one. I've already done my Champion (which will be posted later), but I was having a hard time working out how to model the Apothecary. I've never used GS before and it's been far too long since I've used Milliput (and that stutf isn't that good for modelling in any case), so rooting through my bitzbox, I came across what was left of my Devastator squad (which I started as another of my DIY Chapters, the Amber Dragons, a Salamander successor, but have shelved for a while) and used bitz from that.

The servo skull and Mech arm are to represent the Narthecium, and just to make the model stand out. It won't affect the models abilities in the game. I just wanted something unique and to look "Iron Hands-y" (not a brilliant term, but it'll do...)

Once my ancient computer loads up other pics, I'll add them here ^_^

Again, he's been made with various parts, mainly from the Devastator boxset, but the shield is a trimmed down Dreadnought leg guard. The pistol has since been drilled out.

I was going to post pics of the third member of the squad that I've done so far, but I'll leave that for another time ^_^
