Hi all

Well my first attempt at painting a 40k vehicle ever. I am quite happy how it turned out, mainly cause it fits in with a ebay brought army of Necrons I got over a year ago!
The base is not done by me, it was taken off a destroyer from the previously mentioned army.
Thought id show it off for some comments
The last pic is of the monolith NOT done by me but I put it up for comparison as it was what I used as a guide.

Really unusual for a Cron scheme, but i like

I like it but it would have been cool if you varied the flames a little bit. They all look the same. And you really need to get rid of those mold lines. The model just doesn't look finished to me.

I like the fill-in on the cracks. You did a simple job with the orangey-red, but it's a very neat job. Great work!

Kinda gives them a 'we just got out of hell' look. The crackwork is also nice, I love seeing stuff like this. Excellent job.

Thanks all, its really nice to get all the opinions of my work, good and bad!

The mold lines are something i will certainly be taking more time with in the future, not really bothered up till now, although they look a hundered times worse in the photos than on the model!
As for the flames, I agree they needed to be a bit more varied, didnt look so static until I put it together. Guess thats the downside of painting in bits and not checking to see...

Thanks again everyone, I will most certainly stick some more of the models I plan on doing up here when there done.
